Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a modern Gulf federation rather than an island, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering many hospitality, tourism, retail, aviation, and events jobs. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international workforce; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. Dubai provides a lively lifestyle, beaches, shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and extensive public transport, while living costs can be high, especially for housing. Employers normally sponsor work visas, residency permits, medical checks, and Emirates ID applications for overseas hires. Candidates should not work on a tourist visa and should confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, transport, insurance, annual leave, and contract terms before relocating. Summers are extremely hot, but indoor facilities are well air-conditioned. English is widely used in workplaces, and Arabic is the official language.
