Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, including Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It offers many hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, aviation and tourism, with demand for cleaners, room attendants, receptionists, chefs and service staff. Abu Dhabi has a modern, international lifestyle, excellent shopping, beaches, cultural attractions and desert activities. The culture is welcoming but conservative: modest dress, respect for Islamic customs and awareness of local laws are important. Summers are extremely hot, so indoor, air-conditioned facilities dominate daily life. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, medical testing, Emirates ID processing and residency for overseas employees; applicants should confirm all benefits in writing. Employer-provided accommodation and transport are common for entry-level hotel roles. Bring certified documents, budget for initial expenses and use only legitimate recruitment channels. Public transport is improving, though taxis remain widely used.
