Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a coastal lifestyle with beaches, islands, deserts, and modern cities. Hospitality jobs are widely available in hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas, events, and tourism, particularly in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah. The culture is multicultural and generally welcoming, while Islamic customs, modest public behavior, and local laws should be respected. Lifestyle options include beaches, shopping malls, water sports, desert trips, and international dining. Employers usually arrange a residence visa and work permit, with medical testing and Emirates ID registration required. Confirm the package carefully, including accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, flights, and service charges. Sharjah is more traditional and affordable than Dubai, though employees should budget for hot summers and commuting considerations.
