Destination Guide

Thailand offers hospitality opportunities across Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Chang and coastal destinations such as Khao Lak, with demand in hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas, diving and guest services. Khao Lak is on the mainland but is close to Thailand’s Andaman islands and the Similan and Surin national parks. Life is quieter and less expensive than Phuket, with beaches, markets, outdoor activities and a relaxed local community. Thai culture values politeness, respect, modesty and friendly service; learning basic Thai is helpful. Foreign employees normally need a job offer, employer sponsorship, a Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit before starting work. Employers may assist with documentation, accommodation, meals or transport, but arrangements vary. Bring certified qualifications and employment records, confirm visa terms carefully, and budget for deposits, transport and initial living costs.
