Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers coastal city living, desert landscapes, and a wide range of hospitality opportunities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and other emirates. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, airlines, and tourism companies regularly recruit front-office, food-and-beverage, housekeeping, and guest-relations staff. The culture is multicultural and generally welcoming, while Islamic customs should be respected, especially regarding dress, public behaviour, and Ramadan practices. Dubai offers an energetic lifestyle, beaches, shopping, dining, nightlife, and reliable public transport, although rent and summer temperatures can be high. For overseas hires, the employer usually arranges an employment visa, medical test, Emirates ID, and work permit; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, flights, probation terms, and gratuities before relocating. A passport, attested documents, references, and a clear criminal record may be required.
