Destination Guide

Maldives resort jobs are available in front office, butler service, food and beverage, housekeeping, culinary operations, engineering, wellness, diving, and guest activities. Most international employees live on the resort island, where accommodation, meals, uniforms, and transport are commonly included. Life is peaceful and community-focused, with beaches, snorkeling, diving, fishing, and water sports forming a major part of leisure time. Maldivian culture blends Islamic traditions with strong island hospitality; modest dress and respect for local customs are expected, especially when visiting inhabited islands. Employers generally arrange the required employment approval and work visa or permit, but documents, medical checks, and police clearance may be required before arrival. Relocation involves international travel, adapting to a remote island environment, and limited shopping or nightlife. Male is the main gateway, followed by a domestic flight and speedboat or seaplane transfer, depending on the resort.
