St. Regis properties emphasize elegant hospitality, attentive personal service, and memorable experiences for international travelers. Destination Guide

Maldives offers employment mainly in luxury resorts, including guest services, food and beverage, housekeeping, spa, diving, engineering, finance, and marine recreation. Maldivian culture is welcoming and strongly influenced by Islam, so modest dress and respectful behavior are important outside resort areas. Resort life is beautiful but structured: employees usually live on a separate staff island or staff housing, work rotating shifts, and enjoy beaches, water sports, and a close international community during time off. Foreign employees generally need a valid employment approval and work visa arranged by the employer before or after arrival; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers commonly assist with flights, accommodation, meals, medical checks, and permits, but terms vary. Bring essential personal items, appropriate work clothing, and medication, and confirm contract details, leave, gratuity, service charge, and travel arrangements before relocating.
