Job Description

The Kitchen Steward supports the culinary team by washing dishes, cookware and utensils, cleaning kitchen equipment, removing waste, and keeping food-preparation and storage areas hygienic. The role requires good physical fitness, attention to cleanliness, reliability, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced hotel kitchen. Previous hospitality, commercial kitchen or cleaning experience is helpful but may not be essential, as training is often provided. Candidates are expected to follow food-safety and workplace-health procedures, work cooperatively with chefs and colleagues, manage repetitive tasks, and remain flexible with early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays. A positive attitude, punctuality and willingness to maintain Marriott service standards are important.
