Destination Guide

Singapore is a modern island city with strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, finance, technology, healthcare, and logistics. Hospitality roles are concentrated in Marina Bay, Orchard, Sentosa, Changi, and the central business district. The culture is multicultural, orderly, and service-oriented, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil. Singapore offers excellent public transport, safety, healthcare, shopping, diverse food, and easy access to Southeast Asia, although housing and daily expenses can be high. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, nationality, and sector rules. Employers normally submit the application. Relocating workers should budget for accommodation, deposits, transport, insurance, and permits, and confirm whether meals, accommodation, service charge, or relocation support are included in the employment package.
