Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a popular destination for hospitality professionals, with strong opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, aviation and tourism, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values and a highly international population, so respectful dress and behavior are important. Lifestyle options include beaches, shopping, desert trips, water sports, dining and vibrant nightlife, although summer temperatures are extremely high. Employers normally arrange an employment visa, work permit, medical screening and Emirates ID after hiring; employees should not work on a tourist visa. Many hospitality packages include accommodation, transport, meals, medical insurance and annual airfare, but benefits vary and should be confirmed in writing. New arrivals should budget for deposits, personal expenses and possible initial costs before receiving their first salary.
