Destination Guide

Japan offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, technology, education, manufacturing, and international business. Fukuoka is especially attractive for hotel and service professionals because it is a growing regional business hub with lower living costs than Tokyo and excellent transport links. Japanese workplaces value punctuality, teamwork, respect, attention to detail, and polite communication. Daily life is safe and convenient, with reliable public transport, excellent food, seasonal festivals, and easy access to beaches, mountains, and historic towns. Most foreign employees need an employer-sponsored work visa; hospitality roles commonly use an Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services status, depending on duties and qualifications. Applicants should confirm sponsorship, language requirements, salary, housing support, tax, insurance, and relocation assistance before accepting an offer. A residence card, registered address, bank account, and health insurance enrollment are normally required after arrival. Learning practical Japanese greatly improves workplace integration and everyday life.
