Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a coastal lifestyle with beaches, resorts and vibrant urban centres. Hospitality, tourism, events, retail, aviation, finance, technology and construction provide regular job opportunities, especially in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman. UAE workplaces are multicultural, and Arabic and English are widely used; respect for Islamic traditions, modest public behaviour and local customs is important. Lifestyle options range from relaxed beach living in Ajman to fast-paced city life in Dubai, with warm weather, modern services and generally tax-free personal income. Most foreign employees need an employer-sponsored residence visa and work permit. Employers commonly arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing and health insurance, while contract terms may include accommodation or an allowance, transport and annual leave. Candidates should verify salary, benefits, probation, notice periods and relocation costs before accepting an offer.
