Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a modern Gulf country with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, aviation, retail, construction, technology, and finance. Dubai offers a fast-paced, international lifestyle with excellent transport, shopping, beaches, restaurants, and entertainment, while Abu Dhabi is generally quieter and more spacious. The culture is multicultural but guided by Islamic traditions, so respectful dress and behavior are expected, especially in public and religious areas. Employers normally arrange an employment visa, work permit, medical examination, and Emirates ID after arrival. Many hotel jobs include accommodation, meals, transport, medical insurance, and annual airfare, but candidates should confirm these details in writing. Living costs can be high, particularly for private housing, although shared staff accommodation helps reduce expenses. The UAE has hot summers, tax-free personal income for most employees, and straightforward relocation options for sponsored workers.
