Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest number of hospitality, tourism, retail, aviation and business opportunities. The country has a multicultural population, modern infrastructure, Islamic cultural traditions and a generally cosmopolitan lifestyle. Dubai provides beaches, shopping, dining, entertainment and desert activities, although accommodation and schooling can be expensive. Most overseas employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas; employers commonly arrange work permits, medical checks, Emirates ID registration and residency processing. Candidates should confirm whether housing, transport, meals, insurance and annual flights are included in the package. English is widely used in hotels, while Arabic is the official language. UAE employment contracts, working hours, public holidays and gratuity provisions should be reviewed carefully before relocation. A valid passport, authenticated documents and a medical fitness examination may be required.
