Destination Guide

Fiji offers hospitality, tourism, sales, food and beverage, housekeeping, marine activities, retail, construction, education, and administrative job opportunities, especially around Nadi, Denarau, Suva, and Coral Coast resorts. Fijian culture values warmth, respect, community, family, and traditional customs such as kava ceremonies and village protocols. Island life is generally relaxed and outdoors-focused, with beaches, diving, surfing, hiking, markets, and a strong multicultural food scene. Living costs can be high in resort areas, particularly for accommodation and imported goods. Foreign workers normally need an approved work permit before starting employment; the employer commonly supports the application, and requirements can include a contract, qualifications, police clearance, medical checks, and proof that the position is appropriate for overseas recruitment. Candidates should confirm visa conditions, accommodation, transport, healthcare, taxes, and relocation costs directly with the employer before accepting an offer.
