Destination Guide

Japan offers hospitality and culinary opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, ryokan, and catering businesses, particularly in cities such as Hiroshima, Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and on resort islands. Workplace culture values punctuality, cleanliness, teamwork, respect, and careful attention to detail. Life in Japan is generally safe and convenient, with excellent public transport, varied food, and a mix of modern cities and traditional communities. Hiroshima provides a lower-cost lifestyle than Tokyo while offering strong transport links and access to cultural sites, mountains, and the Seto Inland Sea. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored status of residence, such as a skilled-labor or specified-skilled-worker visa, depending on qualifications and duties. Applicants should confirm sponsorship, language requirements, accommodation, taxes, insurance, and relocation assistance before accepting an offer. Basic Japanese is highly useful for kitchen communication and daily life.
