Job Description

The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team with food preparation, cooking, plating and maintaining clean, organised work areas. Typical requirements include basic commercial cookery experience or culinary training, food-safety knowledge, good organisation and the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. The successful candidate is expected to work efficiently during busy service periods, maintain consistent quality, follow hygiene and workplace-safety standards, minimise waste and cooperate well with chefs and colleagues. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays is generally required. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to Marriott’s service standards are important.
