Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a popular destination for hospitality careers, particularly in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah. Opportunities are available in hotels, restaurants, resorts, tourism, events and luxury services. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international population; respectful dress and behavior are important, especially during Ramadan. Dubai offers a fast-paced lifestyle, beaches, shopping, dining and extensive public transport, although accommodation and daily expenses can be high. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, arrange medical testing and issue residence permits after hiring. Many hotel jobs include staff accommodation, meals, transport, insurance and annual flights, so these benefits should be confirmed in the contract. New arrivals should carry passport copies, certificates and experience records, budget for initial expenses, and verify that recruitment is handled through an official employer or licensed agency.
