Destination Guide

Japan offers strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, technology, manufacturing, education, and international business. Hospitality jobs are concentrated in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Okinawa, Hokkaido, and major resort areas. Japanese workplace culture values punctuality, teamwork, politeness, and careful attention to service quality. Life is generally safe and convenient, with excellent public transport, though large-city housing and living costs can be high. Kyoto provides a quieter lifestyle, rich history, seasonal festivals, temples, and easy access to nature, but Japanese ability is helpful for daily life. Foreign employees usually need an employer-sponsored work visa, with the appropriate status depending on the role and qualifications. Applicants should confirm sponsorship, contract terms, housing support, taxes, health insurance, and relocation assistance before accepting an offer. Learning basic Japanese and arranging accommodation early will make the move considerably easier.
