Destination Guide

Japan offers hospitality, tourism, food service, retail, technology, manufacturing, and teaching opportunities, with major employment centers in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. The culture values punctuality, courtesy, teamwork, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Life can be convenient and safe, with excellent public transportation, varied food, seasonal festivals, and a mix of traditional and modern communities. Housing and commuting costs vary considerably by city; Osaka is generally more affordable than Tokyo. Foreign workers normally need an appropriate work visa sponsored by an employer, and hotel roles may qualify under specified skilled-worker or professional work categories depending on duties and qualifications. Applicants should confirm eligibility, required Japanese ability, contract conditions, and visa sponsorship before accepting an offer. Relocating usually involves arranging a residence card, registered address, health insurance, pension, bank account, and tax procedures after arrival.
