The Loss Prevention Associate helps protect guests, employees, hotel property and company assets. Typical requirements include a secondary-school education, previous security, law-enforcement, military or hotel loss-prevention experience, good communication skills and basic report-writing ability. The candidate should be observant, physically fit, calm under pressure and comfortable working rotating shifts, nights, weekends and holidays. Duties may include monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, enforcing hotel safety procedures, assisting with investigations, controlling access and preparing accurate reports. Professional appearance, discretion, integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information are essential. First-aid, fire-safety or security training would be advantageous.
