Destination Guide

Phuket is Thailand's largest island and offers strong employment opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, wellness, marine activities, retail, and property services. Resort jobs are concentrated around Nai Yang, Patong, Kata, Karon, Kamala, Bang Tao, and Phuket Town. Life combines busy tourist areas with quieter beaches, local markets, temples, tropical scenery, and excellent Thai and international food. The climate is warm year-round, with a wetter monsoon season generally from May to October. Foreign workers normally need a Thai Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit arranged with employer support; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Applicants should confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, and contract terms before relocating. Living costs vary, but shared accommodation and local food can make Phuket manageable. Respect for Thai culture, punctuality, service etiquette, and adaptability are important in resort employment.
