Destination Guide

Koh Samui offers hospitality jobs in housekeeping, food and beverage, kitchens, front office, spa, engineering, sales, and guest activities, with the strongest opportunities at luxury resorts and international hotels. Thai culture places importance on politeness, respect, modesty, and calm communication. Island life is relaxed, but resort work can be demanding during peak seasons, weekends, and holidays. Outside work, residents enjoy beaches, swimming, diving, local markets, temples, hiking, and a wide range of international and Thai food. Salaries are generally lower than in Bangkok, although resorts may provide service charge, staff meals, transport, uniforms, or accommodation. Foreign workers normally need a job offer, a Non-Immigrant B visa, and a Thai work permit arranged with employer support. Applicants should confirm current immigration rules, contract benefits, housing costs, and transport arrangements before relocating.
