It serves leisure travellers, families, weddings, groups and international guests, requiring consistently high standards in hospitality, cuisine and service. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment with structured Marriott training, brand procedures and opportunities for career development within the wider hotel group. As a resort property, the operation can be seasonal and fast-paced, particularly during high tourist periods. Destination Guide

Khao Lak is a relaxed coastal destination on Thailand’s Andaman side, close to Phuket International Airport and popular for beaches, diving, national parks and resort tourism. Although Khao Lak is on the mainland, nearby islands such as Similan, Surin and Phuket are accessible for day trips. Hospitality, food and beverage, wellness, diving, maintenance and guest-services jobs are the main opportunities, especially in resorts. Local life is quieter and less expensive than Phuket, with Thai Muslim and Buddhist communities, seafood markets, temples and a friendly international population. Phuket offers more nightlife, shopping and transport connections. Foreign employees generally need a Thai Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit arranged with employer support; requirements vary by nationality and role. Relocating staff should budget for deposits, transport and insurance, and confirm accommodation, service charge, visa sponsorship, working hours and benefits before accepting an offer.
