Company Info

JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa is a luxury beachfront resort located in Phang Nga, Thailand, near the quiet coastal destination of Khao Lak and within reach of national parks and the Similan Islands. It operates under JW Marriott, Marriott International's luxury hospitality brand, which is known for refined service, wellness, thoughtful guest experiences, and high operating standards. The resort offers accommodation, restaurants and bars, spa facilities, swimming pools, event spaces, and recreational activities for international and domestic travelers. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment with structured training and opportunities to develop within Marriott's global hotel network. As a large resort, it employs teams across culinary operations, housekeeping, front office, engineering, guest activities, finance, and administration.

Destination Guide

Khao Lak is a relaxed beach destination on Thailand's Andaman coast, although it is on the mainland rather than an island. Nearby Phuket provides an international airport, wider shopping, nightlife, and more varied employment, while islands such as Koh Yao, Koh Phi Phi, and Koh Lanta offer tourism jobs in resorts, restaurants, diving, and activities. Thai culture places importance on politeness, respect for elders, modest dress at temples, and maintaining a calm manner. Life in Khao Lak is quieter and less expensive than Bangkok or central Phuket, with beaches, markets, nature, and outdoor activities close by. Hospitality workers should arrange a Non-Immigrant B visa and Thai work permit through their employer before working; tourist status does not authorize employment. Confirm accommodation, meals, transport, medical coverage, service charge, and visa costs in the employment contract. Basic Thai language skills are useful, while English is valuable in resort operations.
