Its culture blends Chinese, Malay, Indian and international influences, reflected in food, festivals and everyday life. Residents enjoy excellent public transport, high personal safety, clean neighborhoods, shopping, nightlife and easy access to beaches and attractions on Sentosa. Living costs are relatively high, especially rent, so employer accommodation or shared housing may be useful. Applicants should confirm eligibility with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower. New arrivals should budget for housing deposits, transport, healthcare and daily expenses, and prepare documents including a valid passport, employment contract and educational or professional certificates.
