Job Description

The Technician supports the hotel’s engineering and maintenance operations, helping keep guest rooms, public areas, equipment and building systems safe and functional. Requirements typically include relevant technical or vocational training, practical experience in hotel maintenance, and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, carpentry or general building systems. Candidates should be able to troubleshoot faults, complete preventive maintenance, respond promptly to service requests and follow health, safety and Marriott operating standards. Good communication, teamwork, reliability, physical fitness and a flexible approach to shifts, weekends and public holidays are expected. Experience in a hotel or commercial property environment is advantageous.
