Job Description

The Kitchen Steward supports the kitchen team by washing dishes, cleaning equipment, maintaining food-preparation areas and ensuring crockery, utensils and cookware are available when needed. The role requires strong attention to hygiene, safe handling of cleaning chemicals, physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Candidates are expected to follow food-safety and workplace-health procedures, keep the kitchen and storage areas organised, manage waste responsibly and work cooperatively with chefs and other hotel departments. Previous hospitality, cleaning or stewarding experience is helpful, although a reliable attitude, willingness to learn, flexibility and availability for shifts, weekends and public holidays may be equally important.
