Australia offers strong opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, events and facilities management, particularly in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and regional destinations. Workplace culture is generally direct, practical and team-oriented, with emphasis on punctuality, safety, customer service and work-life balance. Adelaide provides a relaxed lifestyle, lower housing costs than Sydney or Melbourne, beaches, festivals, wineries and easy access to nature. Living expenses vary, with rent and transport forming major costs. Overseas applicants normally need a visa with work rights, such as an employer-sponsored Skills in Demand visa, a Working Holiday visa where eligible, or another skilled or temporary pathway. Hospitality employers may ask for relevant qualifications, references and police or background checks. Before relocating, arrange health insurance, tax and banking documents, accommodation and an Australian Tax File Number. Check current visa rules through the Department of Home Affairs.
