Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest range of hospitality, sales, tourism, retail and professional opportunities. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international workforce; modest dress, respectful behavior and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Dubai offers modern restaurants, beaches, shopping, entertainment and reliable public transport, though housing, schooling and transport can be expensive. Most expatriates enter on an employment visa sponsored by their employer. The company normally arranges work authorization, medical checks, Emirates ID processing and residency formalities, subject to current regulations. Before relocating, candidates should confirm salary, accommodation or housing allowance, health insurance, flights, leave, gratuity and probation terms. A passport valid for the required period and authenticated qualifications may be needed. Summer temperatures are extremely hot, while winters are pleasant and popular for outdoor activities.
