Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not a single island, but it offers coastal destinations such as Al Marjan Island, Palm Jumeirah, Yas Island, and Saadiyat Island. Hospitality jobs are widely available in hotels, resorts, restaurants, beach clubs, and tourism businesses, particularly in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress and respectful behavior are expected, especially in public and religious places. Lifestyle can include beaches, shopping, desert activities, water sports, and excellent dining, although summers are extremely hot. For overseas employees, the employer normally arranges an employment visa, medical examination, Emirates ID, and work permit. Confirm accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, leave, and gratuity before accepting an offer. Ras Al Khaimah is generally quieter and less expensive than Dubai, making it attractive for resort workers and families.
