Handyperson

Job Description

The Handyperson supports the hotel’s engineering and maintenance team by completing general repairs, preventative maintenance, painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical checks and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities. Candidates should have practical maintenance experience, sound problem-solving skills and the ability to work safely with hand and power tools. A trade qualification or relevant hotel, building or facilities experience is advantageous. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, good communication and a professional service attitude. The successful candidate is expected to respond promptly to maintenance requests, follow workplace health and safety procedures, maintain accurate records and work cooperatively across departments, including during weekends, evenings or rostered shifts.
