Company Info

Fairmont Southampton is a renowned luxury resort in Bermuda, located on the island’s scenic South Shore and known for its beaches, golf, spa, restaurants and extensive guest facilities. The property forms part of the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts portfolio, an international luxury hospitality brand operated by Accor. Fairmont focuses on distinctive destinations, personalised service, elegant accommodation and memorable guest experiences. Its colleagues are expected to demonstrate warmth, professionalism, local knowledge and attention to detail. The Southampton resort has historically been one of Bermuda’s largest full-service hotels and an important tourism employer, with roles spanning rooms, food and beverage, spa, recreation, engineering and administration. Destination Guide

Bermuda offers employment opportunities mainly in tourism, hospitality, finance, insurance, construction, healthcare, education and marine services. The culture blends British traditions, African heritage, island customs and a strong community spirit; politeness, smart presentation and respect for local practices are valued. Life is relaxed but can be expensive, particularly accommodation, groceries and transportation. Beaches, sailing, diving, golf and outdoor activities are major lifestyle attractions, while the island has reliable services and a generally safe environment. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit before starting employment, and the employer generally manages the application. A confirmed job offer, suitable qualifications, medical and background documentation may be required. Relocating staff should clarify housing, transport, health insurance, service charges, gratuities, permit costs and contract duration before accepting. Bermuda’s compact size makes commuting manageable, but rental accommodation can be limited, so arranging housing early is important.
