Destination Guide

Bermuda offers opportunities in hospitality, tourism, finance, insurance, construction, marine services, healthcare, and professional services. Hotel and restaurant roles are particularly important, although work permits are generally required for overseas employees and are normally arranged by the employer before arrival. Candidates should confirm permit eligibility, contract terms, accommodation, healthcare, and relocation assistance. Bermuda has a distinctive British-influenced island culture blended with strong African, Caribbean, and maritime traditions. Life is generally safe, orderly, and community-focused, with beaches, boating, diving, sailing, golf, and outdoor activities widely available. The cost of living is high, especially for housing, groceries, and transportation. Most residents use scooters, buses, ferries, or taxis rather than private cars, which are restricted. New arrivals should budget carefully, respect local customs and environmental rules, and secure housing before relocating whenever possible.
