Job Description

The Assistant Director of Housekeeping supports the Director of Housekeeping in managing daily room and public-area operations at Fairmont Southampton. Requirements typically include several years of housekeeping experience in an upscale hotel or resort, previous supervisory or management responsibility, strong knowledge of cleaning standards, room inspections, scheduling, inventory control, health and safety, and staff training. The successful candidate should be organized, service-focused, and comfortable leading a diverse team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are expected, together with attention to detail and the ability to maintain luxury-service standards. Experience with hotel property-management or housekeeping systems and a willingness to work weekends and holidays would be advantageous.
