Destination Guide

Bermuda offers employment opportunities in hospitality, tourism, finance, retail, healthcare, education, construction and marine services. The island has a distinctive British-influenced culture blended with strong Bermudian traditions, friendly communities, music, sailing and outdoor events. Lifestyle highlights include pink-sand beaches, clear water, boating, diving and a mild subtropical climate. Living costs are high, particularly for housing, groceries and transportation, so salary and accommodation arrangements should be reviewed carefully. Bermuda restricts private car ownership for many residents; scooters, buses and ferries are commonly used. Foreign nationals normally require employer sponsorship and a work permit before starting employment. Employers generally handle or support the permit application, but approval is not automatic and immigration rules can change. Candidates should verify eligibility, contract length, accommodation, healthcare, flights and return arrangements before relocating. A valid passport, police certificate and medical documentation may be required.
