Destination Guide

Bermuda is a small, safe British Overseas Territory known for pink-sand beaches, clear water, boating, golf, and a relaxed but polished lifestyle. Hospitality is a major source of employment, with opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, events, marine tourism, and guest services. Bermudian culture blends British, African, Caribbean, and international influences, with strong community traditions and a courteous service culture. The island has a high cost of living, particularly for housing, groceries, and transportation; many work permits are tied to an employer and position. Overseas candidates generally need an employer-sponsored work permit before starting work, and the employer normally handles the application process. Applicants should confirm permit eligibility, contract terms, accommodation, health insurance, flights, and relocation assistance before accepting an offer. Scooters and public transport are common, while private cars are regulated. Bermuda suits people seeking an outdoor island lifestyle and international hospitality experience.
