Company Info

Fairmont Southampton is a large luxury resort brand and hotel property associated with Accor, one of the world’s leading hospitality groups. Fairmont is known for elegant full-service hotels, destination resorts, distinctive dining, spa facilities and personalized guest service. The Southampton property is located on Bermuda’s south shore and has historically been one of the island’s most prominent resort employers, serving leisure travelers, groups, weddings and business guests. Accor supports its hotels through international operating standards, training, sustainability programs and career opportunities across a global network of brands. A Head Chef joining the property would be part of a resort leadership team responsible for maintaining high culinary standards while adapting menus and service to Bermuda’s seasonal tourism market. Specific operating arrangements, reopening timelines, benefits and employment terms should be confirmed directly with the hiring team.

Destination Guide

Bermuda offers opportunities mainly in hospitality, tourism, restaurants, marine services, construction, finance, healthcare and professional services. The island has a polished but relaxed culture influenced by British, Caribbean and North American traditions. Residents enjoy beaches, boating, snorkeling, golf, sailing and a strong community atmosphere, although imported goods, rent and everyday living costs are high. Public transport is reliable, and visitors and residents commonly use buses, ferries and scooters; private cars are restricted. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work permit before starting employment, and the employer usually handles the application and immigration requirements. Working as a visitor is not permitted. Candidates should confirm permit eligibility, contract length, accommodation, health insurance, relocation assistance and tax arrangements before accepting an offer. Resort roles may provide meals, staff housing or allowances, but these benefits vary and should be obtained in writing.
