Destination Guide

Bermuda offers opportunities mainly in hospitality, tourism, restaurants, retail, marine services, finance, construction, healthcare, and professional services. Hotels and resorts regularly seek supervisors, chefs, servers, housekeeping staff, engineers, and guest-relations professionals, although work permits are normally required for non-Bermudian workers and are handled through the employer. Bermuda has a friendly, community-oriented culture shaped by British, African, Caribbean, and international influences. The lifestyle is relaxed and outdoors-focused, with beaches, boating, diving, golf, and a mild subtropical climate. Living costs are high, particularly for housing, groceries, and transport, so applicants should confirm salary, accommodation, meals, health insurance, and relocation support before accepting an offer. Public transport is reliable, while private cars are restricted; scooters are common. New arrivals should arrange immigration approval, housing, banking, and healthcare details with the employer before travelling.
