Destination Guide

Australia offers strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, events, resorts and corporate hospitality, particularly in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and regional destinations. Workplace culture is generally professional but informal, with emphasis on teamwork, direct communication, safety and work-life balance. Sydney provides a lively urban lifestyle, beaches, diverse dining and extensive public transport, although rent and living costs are high. Most overseas workers need an appropriate visa, such as an employer-sponsored Skills in Demand visa, Working Holiday visa or another skilled migration pathway; eligibility depends on nationality, age, occupation and experience. Candidates should confirm sponsorship with the employer and check requirements through the Department of Home Affairs. Relocating usually involves arranging accommodation, tax and banking details, health insurance where required, and recognition of qualifications. Australia is geographically large, so travel between cities can be expensive.
