Destination Guide

Seychelles offers hospitality, tourism, marine conservation, wellness, food and beverage, and resort-management opportunities, particularly on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. The culture blends African, European and Asian influences, with Seychellois Creole, English and French widely used. Island life is relaxed and outdoors-oriented, with beaches, hiking, snorkeling and a warm tropical climate, although imported goods and housing can be expensive. Resort employees commonly receive staff accommodation and meals, but should confirm details before relocating. Foreign nationals generally need an approved Gainful Occupation Permit before working; the employer normally supports the application, and entry, medical and document requirements apply. Bring certified qualifications, references and passport documents. Transport is limited outside main areas, so budgeting and planning are important. Respect local customs, environmental rules and the community’s strong connection to the sea and nature.
