Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest concentration of hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, finance, and technology jobs. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress, respectful behavior, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Dubai offers modern apartments, extensive public transport, beaches, shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and year-round sunshine, although summers are extremely hot. Employers generally sponsor work visas for approved employees and normally arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and residence formalities. Candidates should confirm whether accommodation, transport, insurance, flights, and gratuity are included in the contract. Relocation costs, deposits, and school fees can be significant. English is widely used in business, while Arabic and other languages can improve employment prospects. Always verify the offer, recruitment agency, visa terms, and legal requirements before paying any fees or relocating.
