Bermuda FAIRMONT SOUTHAMPTON - SHP Approximately BMD 75,000–100,000 per year, potentially with bonus, benefits, housing assistance, or relocation support*
Job Description

The Sales Manager is expected to drive business for Fairmont Southampton by developing client relationships, securing group and corporate accounts, managing sales activities, and achieving revenue targets. Requirements typically include several years of hotel, tourism, or hospitality sales experience, strong knowledge of local and international markets, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and confidence using sales and CRM systems. The candidate should be organized, commercially focused, and comfortable networking with travel agents, event planners, corporate clients, and destination partners. Experience with luxury hotels, resort sales, meetings, incentives, conferences, and events is advantageous. The role also requires professionalism, cultural awareness, flexibility, and the ability to represent the hotel positively in a competitive island market.

Company Info

Fairmont Southampton is a luxury resort associated with the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts brand and operated within Accor, a major international hospitality group. Located in Southampton Parish, Bermuda, the resort has traditionally been known for its ocean views, extensive grounds, golf, beaches, dining, meetings, and leisure facilities. Fairmont properties generally serve upscale leisure, corporate, group, and destination-wedding markets, with an emphasis on personalized service and high operating standards. Accor operates a broad portfolio of hotel brands worldwide and offers employees opportunities for international training, career development, and mobility. The Southampton property has experienced periods of closure and redevelopment, so candidates should confirm the current operating status, employer arrangements, start date, and benefits directly with the recruitment team.

Destination Guide

Bermuda offers opportunities in hospitality, tourism, finance, insurance, professional services, healthcare, education, and construction, although the local job market is small and work permits are normally required for overseas hires. The island has a polished, multicultural culture influenced by British, Caribbean, Portuguese, and North American traditions. Life is safe and relaxed, with beautiful beaches, sailing, diving, golf, and a strong outdoor lifestyle. Housing and everyday expenses are among the highest in the region, and accommodation support can be important when relocating. Cars are restricted in size, so residents commonly use scooters, buses, ferries, or taxis. Employers usually sponsor work permits and must demonstrate that the role is appropriate for an international candidate; approval is not automatic. Applicants should clarify permit sponsorship, housing, healthcare, flights, taxes, contract length, and dependent arrangements before accepting an offer.
