Destination Guide

Australia is a large island nation with strong job opportunities in hospitality, tourism, healthcare, construction, education, technology and agriculture. The Gold Coast, where Novotel Surfers Paradise is located, has a relaxed coastal culture, warm weather, beaches, outdoor activities and a busy tourism economy. Lifestyle costs can be high, particularly rent and transport, so budgeting is important. International applicants need a visa with work rights; common options include Working Holiday visas, employer-sponsored visas and skilled migration pathways. Requirements vary by nationality, age, occupation and qualifications, and applicants should check the Australian Department of Home Affairs before travelling. Relocation usually involves arranging accommodation, a tax file number, bank account, health insurance and local transport. Public transport serves the Gold Coast, while English is essential for workplace communication. Hospitality roles may include early mornings, late nights, weekends and holiday shifts.
