Destination Guide

Australia is a large island country with hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, events and travel, particularly in Queensland, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and regional coastal destinations. The Sunshine Coast offers a relaxed beach lifestyle, warm weather, outdoor activities and a strong tourism economy, although rents and transport costs should be researched carefully. Australian workplaces generally value punctuality, direct communication, teamwork, workplace safety and inclusive service. Eligible applicants may use Working Holiday, employer-sponsored, skilled or other temporary visas, depending on nationality, qualifications and occupation requirements. A job offer does not automatically guarantee visa sponsorship, so candidates should check current Department of Home Affairs rules. Relocation planning should include a valid visa, tax file number, Australian bank account, accommodation, health insurance and funds for initial expenses. Public transport is available, but a car can be useful in resort areas.
