Company Info

Fairmont Southampton is a landmark luxury resort associated with Bermuda’s hospitality industry and the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts brand, part of Accor. The property is known for its elevated setting, ocean views, extensive guest facilities, restaurants, meeting spaces, and Bermuda-focused service. Fairmont hotels generally emphasize refined accommodation, memorable dining, personalized guest care, and strong operational standards. The Southampton property has historically been one of Bermuda’s largest resort employers, offering opportunities across culinary, food and beverage, rooms, engineering, recreation, and administration. Employees can expect a multicultural workplace, structured hotel procedures, and a focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction. As property operations and redevelopment plans may change, applicants should confirm the resort’s current opening status, department structure, benefits, and employment terms directly with the company.

Destination Guide

Bermuda offers hospitality, tourism, marine, finance, construction, healthcare, and professional services opportunities, although the job market is relatively small and work permits are normally required for overseas applicants. The island blends British traditions, African and Caribbean heritage, and a strong maritime culture. Life is relaxed but comparatively expensive, with high costs for rent, groceries, transport, and utilities. Beaches, sailing, diving, golf, walking trails, and a mild subtropical climate are major lifestyle advantages. Public buses and ferries are widely used; visitors and many residents generally cannot rent standard cars, so scooters are common where legally permitted. Employers often need to support or arrange immigration approval, and candidates should verify permit eligibility before relocating. Secure written details about salary, accommodation, health insurance, airfare, taxes, and contract length. Housing can be limited, so employer-provided accommodation is particularly valuable.
