Destination Guide

Bermuda offers opportunities in hospitality, tourism, restaurants, marine services, finance, healthcare, education, and professional services. Hotel and food-and-beverage roles are especially relevant during the tourism season, although employers generally must demonstrate that suitable Bermudian candidates are unavailable before receiving permission to hire overseas workers. A valid work permit and employer sponsorship are normally required; candidates should not relocate or begin work without approved authorization. Bermuda has a friendly, multicultural community influenced by British, Caribbean, Portuguese, and North American traditions. The lifestyle is relaxed and outdoors-oriented, with beaches, boating, snorkeling, golf, walking trails, and a strong community atmosphere. Housing and daily expenses are expensive, and accommodation should be confirmed before accepting an offer. Public buses and ferries are widely used, while visitors and residents generally cannot rent standard cars; scooters are common but require care. Healthcare and immigration conditions should be checked with official Bermuda authorities.
