Job Description

The Kitchen Steward supports the culinary team by washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, maintaining food-preparation areas and disposing of waste safely. The role generally requires good physical fitness, attention to hygiene, reliability and the ability to work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment. Previous kitchen, stewarding or hospitality experience is helpful but may not be essential. Candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting supplies, following food-safety and workplace-health procedures, and working flexible part-time shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. A positive attitude, teamwork, punctuality and willingness to learn are important. Australian work rights and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues are typically expected.
