Requirements generally include a diploma or degree in purchasing, supply chain, hospitality management, or a related field, together with previous procurement experience in a hotel or resort. Knowledge of local suppliers, inventory procedures, purchasing software, and cost control is valuable. The successful candidate should be organized, ethical, commercially aware, and confident communicating with suppliers and department heads. They are expected to maintain accurate records, follow company purchasing policies, support quality and sustainability standards, and secure competitive prices while ensuring that operational departments receive the products and services they need.
