Destination Guide

Indonesia offers varied hospitality opportunities across Java, Bali, Lombok, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and other islands, particularly in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, tourism, and marine activities. Jakarta, on Java, provides the broadest corporate and hotel employment market, while Bali and Lombok are stronger for resort and leisure careers. Indonesian culture emphasizes hospitality, community, religious diversity, and respect for local customs; modest dress and polite communication are appreciated. Urban lifestyles can be busy and traffic-heavy, whereas island destinations offer a slower pace, outdoor activities, and lower living costs in some areas. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work authorization and appropriate limited-stay visa, arranged before employment begins; requirements can change, so official Indonesian immigration guidance is essential. Relocating employees should budget for housing, transport, health insurance, deposits, and document legalization, and confirm whether accommodation, flights, meals, or relocation support are included.
